Keep customers in the loop with a monthly email
Once your online presence is established it is important to continue to promote your website.
Keeping customers in the loop about product launches, company news and offers is a great way to keep driving web traffic.
Ideally, you will already have an email strategy in place to communicate with existing and potential customers and be familiar with an email marketing tool such as MailChimp or ActiveCampaign
With this customer contact database in place, email should be an easy option to promote visibility and is certainly worth utilising.
As a way to keep your brand and website in sight of customers, aim to send out an email each month to keep in touch.
This is easier than it may at first appear and there are lots of opportunities that lend themselves to promoting your business.
Choosing a subject to write about.
Monthly emails are certainly a great base to promote offers to boost sales. Use the monthly email as a sort of deadline to choose to set offers such as a 10 percent discount code or announce a sale.
It also works well as an integrated promotional tool where you can share and ask for feedback, instructional ‘how to’ videos or product updates.
There is plenty of scope to make monthly emails fun and engaging by tapping into various national days and events. Major holidays such as Easter, Christmas and the long summer break could be worked into a way to remind customers of what you can offer and how you can make their life easier.
Then there are major sporting events such as Wimbledon, football tournaments, boxing matches etc. that generate huge interest. These events could always be tied to short-term offers that benefit your bottom line.
These days there is a national day for pretty much every occasion – have a browse through this list (there are plenty more available) and see if there is something that could work for your company to send out a light-hearted email linked to it. If nothing, else you will have made the reader think “hmmm, that’s interesting.”
Keep an eye on social media platforms such as LinkedIn to keep up with industry news and send emails that are relevant to current developments. Also remember to speak to customers – find out what they want to know and what they are interested in. Never assume that you know!
Building strong relationships is vital to success and communication is the route to connecting with your marketplace. Make a monthly email part of your routine for an easy way to reach out to customers and drive web traffic – and sales.
